About Us

Hi, I'm Cass, the founder of Lua Nova. I live in a small town in the South East of England with my twin flame, Phil and two Shihtzu girls, Poppy and Olive.

Lua Nova is a Portuguese originated name which means New Moon. I'm originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil where I did A Levels in Fashion Design at Santa Marcelina University a couple of moons ago. At the time Fashion Design was only a dream which I gave up once I experienced a short apprenticeship period at one of a very well known Sao Paulo Fashion Designers' studio. The speed and consumerism of the Fashion industry wasn't for me.

My taste for bohemian and organic resembling clothing made me pursue this life dream and that's how Lua Nova came to life.

Lua Nova is more than just a fashion brand; it's a celebration of freedom, nature, and self-love. Designed for free-spirited women and women of all body shapes, ethnicities and age, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1970's hippie movement and it's messages of freedom and love.

At Lua Nova, we believe in clothing that feels good and does good. I like the idea of creating designs to empower women, promoting self love, self acceptance, body positivity. We are deeply connected to Nature and we want this connection to be reflected in every aspect of the brand.

Lua Nova works with a family of artisans from India. We have been working with this family closely for the past few months that now we are more than business partners, we are friends and we share the same ethos selecting natural fibers like organic cotton, linen, hemp cotton and vintage sarees, we are selective with all materials, selecting those with natural dyes that are gentle on the skin and the enviroment, minimizing the use of harsh chemicals.

Some of our designs use handblock printing techniques, preserving cultural heritage and supporting artisan communities in India.
